Ultra Transgothica Press is a book catalogue of comic books, anthologies, articles, zines, and stories created by PomPoison.
I am a Boston-based artist and graphic novelist interested in the TransGothic—the idea that home is pain, and love is pain, so my characters have to radically redefine what home and love means to them, in order to feel at home and loved. I grew up in NYC, in a community of artists—people who worked by making meaning and value from ideas. As a Queer Transmasculine artist, I connect the redefinition of home and love to that struggle with being believed as a maker of meaning. Trans people, like artists, are makers of meaning.
